Culture tour in Bhutan

Your tour guide will receive you at Paro international Airport. Than you will be driving towards Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan which is just an hour drive and you will come across magnificent Tamchhog Lhakhang , a historic place built to worship Thangthong Gyalpo who was Bhutan’s first iron bridge builder. Then you will halt a night in Thimphu.

Thimphu is a bustling city, which has many sightseeing spots. Your guide will take you around to famous tourist spot like National Memorial Chorten, the National Library, the National Painting School and Changangkha Temple. You will also be visiting the National textile Museum and Folk Museum. You can also visit the weekly market of Thimphu and halt the night at Thimphu.

You will be travelling to Punakha via the famous Dochu La Pass and stop there to enjoy the beautiful view of the Eastern Himalaya ranges with a cup of hot tea. Than after reaching Punakha you will be visiting the Punakha Dzong a magnificent fortress built between two rivers and Chimi Lhakhang ( Temple of Fertility) which was built by Lam Drukpa Kuenley the Divine Mad Man in the 15th century. You will be returning to Paro and the guide will take you around Paro town to visit handicraft shops if you wish to take souvenirs. Alternatively, you can also visit a local farm stay and experience the farm life of Bhutan. Night halt in Paro.

You would be sightseeing in the beautiful valley of Paro, which includes visiting the Rinpung Dzong and the National Museum. After lunch, you would be visiting Drukgyel Dzong and the sacred Kyichu Lhakhang (temple). Night halt in Paro.

You will be hiking to the famous “Tiger’s Nest” the sacred Taktshang monastery. You will be lunching in the Taktshang cafeteria with a beautiful background. If you wish on the way back to Taktshang you could visit Dumtse Lhakhang and halt the night at Paro.
